Roll Limitless

I recently received my rolllimitless from the US and I live in the UK. When it arrived I was so excited and it works brilliant.And I had some problems sorting it but just emailed the company that got back with in minutes. What a service now my roll limitless is working my electric drums now I can play Rockband if anyone considering getting one please do. Yes....ai bought the expensive version because I don't have a computer or laptop nearby all the time. Yes, it was more expensive. Worth every penny! Can't wait to get it fully calibrated and dialed in and rock out!

From opened my box and setting up, had my alesis drums up and running in about five minutes. Great product, well worth the price compared to the mad catz dongle that is going for $1500 on eBay

This is game changing for e-kits. It works perfect on RB4, and incredibly well on the older RB and GH titles. Well worth grabbing one!

Absolutely flawless, worth the wait and an amazing investment over the alternative official adapters for Xbox. Only complaint is I wish it was usb-c instead of micro usb.

The person who created this unit is a Genius! Our PS4 drum kit for rockband 4 was going bad and we decided to buy a Alesis Surge drum kit that has that 5 pins for Midi in and out. The unit worked 100% as described with our PS5 which is the main console we use now though we still do have a PS4 console. The reason i am giving the item a 4 star rating is because no instruction manual was sent with the unit and the video link is very outdated with the unit we currently have. I checked the website and there wasnt any area in the website that would even allow me to download and print a manual. So ill explain here what needs to be done.

1. The included braided cable with the micro USB plug is to provide power to the little box. The PS5 USB Type A port at the front of the console provides 5 volts 2 amps so you can also use a 5 volts 2 amp power adapter like a cellphone charger with the USB Type A connector on it.

2. The other side of the little box that has a USB A port, is to connect your PS5 or PS4 controller with the appropriate USB C for PS5 or Micro USB for the PS4 with the opposite end being USB-A.

3. There is a 5 pin MIDI plug which is a MIDI Input, if you have the Alesis Surge drum set, you would need connect a 5 pin MIDI cable from the Drum machine module (MIDI Output) line to the roll limitless box. From there you can press the start button on the little black box once you have thw Rockband 4 game loaded to your Playstation 4 or Playstation 5.
On thea surge drum kit i had to swap the cables of the symbols because they were reversed and i wasnt sure if that had to do with the drums or the little black box but we just bought extension 1/4" TRS cables female input to male output and that solved the problem of that polarity issue. We've been enjoying the game alot more thanks to this little. It did take us 90 days to get the unit after placing an order. So it is 100% safe to buy one but the wait time is long as these are hand made.

Pro: it works 100% as designed for the PS4 and PS5 and you can use the Alesis Surge drum kit with it.

Cons: no instruction manual is included or downloadable to explain how to connect the unit, there are no letters indicating what port os for what other than the obvious MIDI 5 pin input and the button that says start. There is a second button at the top of the box near the power side which did nothing when i pressed it so again since there was no manual included and the video that i can see to learn how to use the unit was very outdated vs thw revision unit we have. That video did not help at all. We had to figure out how to wire all of this up. If you can add labels to the USB A port like (Controller Input) and the Micro USB port as (Power 5V-2A) and also label the top button that didnt say start, then a manual wouldn't really be needed. Maybe this can be an add on for new consumers. Other then what i mentioned this would be a solid 5 stars.

Takes a while to arrive, but is worth the wait. I can use my Yamaha drum pad on my PS3 Rock Band games now and its tons of fun

Works great and obviously indispensable for anyone wanting to play RB in this day in age. It did take almost 2 years to receive this, but the rating does not factor that in. The module itself is awesome, you will obviously have to wait awhile for it but when you do its indispensable..

The adapter works perfectly. The video linked in the FAQ section showing how to set up the adapter on a PS4 with a USB hub was exactly what I needed. I followed it and within minutes I was able to use my Alesis Nitro Mesh drum kit with Rock Band 4. The adapter took a while to arrive because of the demand/backlog, but was 100% worth the wait.
